Daniel Burt works full-time at Faculty, School of Fine Art. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of New Mexico. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fine Art Sculpture from Academy of Art University. His public commissions are on display at the Bethany Center, in the heart of San Francisco's Mission district. His permanent work is also on display at the Raymond Vineyards in Sonoma. For the last 10 years, he has been building sculpture classes and teaching at Academy of Art University. Burt is currently a full-time instructor for the sculpture department of the university. His art is currently exhibited in San Francisco at Luna Rienne Gallery. In the past, he has exhibited at Lab 101,111 Minna, Cal Arts, Taos in New Mexico, Mimi Barr Group Show, and others. Burt received an award from the Academy of Art University.
The award known as the Best Mixed Media and Student Choice Award was awarded to him in the Academy’s annual Spring Show while Burt was still a student there. Today Burt is counted among the best artists in the world. His work is luminous and is suffused with the mysteries ever changing quality of light. Currently, his works are sold in large numbers, both in brick and mortar stores and online. His art can be described as contemplative and dynamic. His academic background has combined with his passion to enable him produce stunning and inspiring pieces of art. His inspiration comes from him travels.
