Charles White Wall Art

Charles White (Born in 1943) was born in Quebec, Canada. He began early in life to show an interest in art. At age six White was already producing attractive pencil sketches of animals and birds. He developed his talent for draftsmanship to an extent that at age ten he won a Canadian art contest. He switched to oil painting by the age of fourteen. As a teenager he was successful in selling many of his landscapes. White graduated in 1967 from Brigham Young University where he studied art. He likes to travel extensively seeking out the most spectacular landscapes that can form his subject and combining the elements of many different places into one, romantic and perfect setting. With more than forty years of experience in creating works of art, his works have occupied honorable places in homes where a premium is placed on serenity and elegance.

White uses his art to communicate with people on an emotional level and also to share with them the calming effect that the natural world has on him. His expertise and talent is evident when viewers experience the gracefulness of his landscapes and gardens. Each of his compositions is crafted classically with attention to the principles of color, design, contrast and value. His technique is time-consuming and creates a multi-layered, luminous work that invites people who view them into a world of calmness and beauty. White has enjoyed critical acclaim over the years, both from both his peers and the public. He holds lectures and workshops to share his knowledge.
