Tita Quintero hails from Colombia (S A). She has a strong artistic background because she was born in an artistic family. Her mother and her sister are both artists. Tita has been living in Florida for several years, doing exhibitions, painting, and teaching her style and techniques with huge success. Tita has the gift to do portraits. In fact, in 1978, she was commissioned to do a portrait of Pope John Paul II. After the completion of the project, she had the honor to give the painting to Pope John Paul II in her own hands. Tita studied at Dec & Int Design School, Miami ( Murals, Texture), Dolores Nunez, Bogota (Oil Painting), Leovid Silva, Bogota (Oil Painting), Alexandra Villegas, Bogota (Oil Painting & Texture), Carlos Orrea Bogota (Oil Painting & Acrylic), Mario Hernandez, Bucaramanga (Oil Painting & Sketch), and at ITAE, Bucaramanga (Art & Decoration).
Before moving to Florida, she had shown her paintings at many local and out of state galleries in her country. She is currently selling the rights to an international company to reproduce her paintings. Tita’s real name is Margarita Quintero and she has been living in Florida for many years dedicated to her artwork. Her experience has combined with her education help her to produce attractive pieces, explaining why her art is in great demand, and why they are stocked by many discriminating collectors all over the world. She started painting as a hobby, but when she became a single mother, she relied fully on art for her upkeep.
