Gabriela Villarreal (Born 1969) is a restless artist who was born in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico. She’s always creating new spaces and forms, capturing color with lights and shapes, in a constant search of exhibiting works that with their own style, can talk by themselves. She studied art in Arte A.C. and has had expositions in Germany, Mexico, and the US. Gabriela works in mixed media and creates many commissioned paintings for interior design installations. She has a dynamic personality probably because she grew up in an ideal environment that helped develop her creativity and artistic talent in the company of her mother and master, Gabriela Villarreal Santos, a contemporary artist. In 2005, Gabriela broke into the European contemporary art market with her famous modern abstract works. She was inspired by artists such as Fernando Cervantes and Damian de la Rosa.
Her works are collected worldwide and have been exhibited in the most prestigious galleries in Europe, Mexico, and the United States and. Currently, her works are published in Art in Motion; important fine art collections. The common denominator in her works is the search for harmony through extraordinary color overlays and multi-layered abstracts. The lasting effect from her work is one of purity, emotion, and seduction. She is defined by the critics as a real designer of art. Gabriela does not paint inside the space of the canvas; instead she looks for visual connections and analogies on the edges and outside it. Many have talked about over-determination, overexposure, but Gabriela’s secret is just in the unclassifiable emotional effect the work gives out.
