Jennie Cooley Wall Art

Jennie Cooley’s work swings from mahjong necklaces to Visa cards to hand blown glass ornaments and somewhere between fun art to fine art in galleries and collections internationally. During a recent interview in her studio in Santa Fe, she said that her art sticks like an ice box magnet. The Santa Fean magazine compares her art to that of Jenny Holzer - the Pop icon. But the artist feels her content is somewhere between Gary Trudeau and Henry Darger with some Frida Kahlo also. She’s known as doll maker, painter, and printmaker. She studied printmaking in New Mexico and Italy and sculpture in California, and her early achievements included contracts with esteemed manufacturers, retailers, the Art world and TV projects. Jennie is also know as a visual narrative artist, and her art has been shown in many galleries, featured in newspapers, magazines and online collected internationally, for her reckless style and pithy content with color and words.

This inexhaustible artist now takes her award-winning art from her Gallery in Santa Fe to shows in Miami, New York, and Las Vegas, and she focuses on her signature lines and her next series. With much coffee mornings, Jennie works from her desert studio in Santa Fe, overlooking the waters of Hood Canal in Washington State. She continues to seek the world’s best Licensers and Publishers. What inspires her includes people as dogs, dogs and people. Her inspiration also comes from delicate layers of grey, satin or shiny finishes and especially high-gloss red. She likes to make people smile think. She likes to have fun, buy fast cars and groceries.
