Wendy MacFarlane works in mixed media. She’s is a British textile designer applying the innovative use of computer graphics. Wendy is inspired to interpret everyday subjects in a fresh and sometimes mischievous way. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Textile Design from the Winchester School of Art. After her graduation, she has worked as a freelance designer for many years. She likes travelling and has traveled the world. She finds the continuous task of balancing life and design invigorating. She continues to produce stunning pieces of artwork and her client base has expanded to include some esteemed corporations and respected individuals in Britain. Wendy has managed to develop a unique style that makes her art to be easily recognizable among the works of other artists. Although many consider her as a successful artist, Wendy still feels that she needs to learn.
That’s why she’s a keen observer and is constantly visiting art galleries and museums to observe the works of other artists. This has kept her art fresh over the years as she’s at par with the current trends. Wendy does not fear to paint. She confronts the projects as they come, taking on even some of the most complex projects and completing them within the stipulated time and budget, often to the amazement of her clients. For Wendy, no accurate words better describe art. She says that artists are like alchemists. Just the same way alchemists use magic to turn lead into gold, artists also manipulate their tools and materials to capture 3D subjects on 2D surfaces.
