Gosia Janik is a Polish photographer who is based in Madrid, Spain. She loves to work with people and observe them throughout the lens. Her specialization is Portrait Photography. She is a brilliant craftswoman in portrait photography. In Poland, for 10 years, she had her own studio doing lots of artistic and social photography. She is now in Spain and is more into fashion world. Her Pictures are most often monochrome which are powerful and strong. Gosia loves to learn new things; it’s very hard to teach her something though. This is because she believes she’s the worst pupil in the world. However, she wishes she could have more patience for her masters. Gosia says everybody considers her a very reasonable and calm person. She thinks the same about herself. She was always looking for a tool which could help her to express herself better, since she’s never liked to talk too much.
She went through lots of things: spirituality, playing guitar, drawings, etc One day she opened the wardrobe where her mother was guarding all her father’s photo equipment and the adventure began. Since then, photography has always been a kind of therapy for her. It has helped her to notice her strong and week points, to understand her feminity, and to see how her body can be a beautiful form instead of a source of problems. She would love if people portrayed in her photos had the same experience as she has. Gosia is not a conceptual artist, and she doesn’t have any important messages to transmit.
