Donna Geissler is an American photography artist who first built a name through black and white pictures. She went to Indiana University where she earned her BA in journalism. However, a short course she took in black and white photography during her last semester at the university changed her life forever. The lessons made her develop a strong love of photography, always wanting to learn and experiment with new things and ideas. After her education, Donna spent 10 years taking pictures simply as a hobby. Her photography would however take a completely new turn when she started experimenting with floral photography. It introduced her to a new way of expression that allowed her to share the exquisite beauty of nature and her appreciation of it. She always tries to capture the best shots and so she strives to continuously employ different approaches and digital ways to give the final artwork the most captivating finish.
Instead of simply taking random shots, Donna keenly considers shapes, specific gestures, and movements that intrigue her and that she believes have a story to tell. She uses natural light for her photography for the most realistic shots. Where necessary, she applies digital techniques to add some extra touch to her images. Her two-tier approach delivers soft and detailed floral images that clearly define the allures of nature around us. Donna has worked for several reputable companies. Her works are also exhibited and sold through various global outlets. She has maintained high quality work by using professional cameras for her shots.
